Immigrant women are making invaluable sacrifices and contributions to our communities on the frontlines of the COVID-19 crisis. They make up a huge portion of our nation’s caregivers, janitors, healthcare workers, and other essential workers. Yet, they are poorer on average than their male counterparts, more likely to be forced into single parenthood as a result of harsh detention and deportation policies, and are more vulnerable than immigrant men to sexual harassment and violence at the workplace and in detention. Immigrant women are resilient and deserve protection and respect.
Help demand that our elected leaders pass fair and humane immigration reform that will put essential workers, many of whom are immigrant women, on a path to citizenship.
